The 2026 PBA/PWBA Striking Against Breast Cancer Mixed Doubles begins today in Houston, which naturally fired the appropriate synapses in my head to recall sitting in the cubbyhole that holds house balls and in 2015 and 2016 (and probably many other years, but we can vouch for these two) doubled as the booth location for Xtra Frame.
During the 2015 event, in addition to producing the live stream of all four squads plus the finals, we edited several other pieces to either supplement the live coverage or stand alone on social media or salvage a semblance of sanity as D squad prepared to take the lanes. One of those pieces was the PBA World Series of Practice.
Eleven years later, the only thing that has changed with the abundance of practice is that there is more of it. Perhaps one day this event will become reality.
